Florida Home Savings Calculator

Wind-mitigation credits cut your insurance premium (Fla. Stat. §627.0629), and efficient windows cut your electric bill. Estimate one — or both, together.

Estimated annual savings

Insurance estimates are based on the wind/hurricane portion of typical Florida premiums and published wind-mitigation credit ranges (OIR-B1-1802 inspection factors; Fla. Stat. §627.0629). Energy estimates are based on ENERGY STAR field data for window replacement in hot-humid climates. Actual savings depend on your insurer, utility rates, home construction, and inspection results — your free evaluation includes exact numbers.

How insurance credits work

After your upgrade, a wind-mitigation inspection (form OIR-B1-1802) documents your home's features. Your insurer must apply corresponding credits to the wind portion of your premium.

How energy savings work

Tampa's cooling season runs most of the year. Modern low-E double-pane glass — impact or energy-efficient — blocks solar heat that your AC otherwise fights, every day.

⚠️

The all-openings rule

Opening-protection credits generally require every opening protected — windows, doors, sliders, garage. One unprotected opening can forfeit the credit.
